Here's my little nutjob, Jack, with his Easter basket:

Easter

The boys have had a great Easter so far, even though I was disappointed that we didn't get to go to Aunt Krista's due to the weather. They woke up to baskets from the Easter Bunny outside their room:

We went to church. Miles was drawing on a small drawing pad and asked me how to spell "illustrate" (!). He then wrote on the front (and after drawing several pictures inside), "Illustrate Miles." He told me it said "Illustrated by Miles." After he finished, he told me that the book was for the library. That kid has quite a vocabulary. The other day he asked me what "devour" meant.

After lunch, we had an Easter egg hunt:

Birthday Boys!

This is a long overdue post for the boys' birthdays. Last Thursday was Miles. Brian and I joined him at school for the traditional "Walk Around the Sun" Montessori ceremony. He carries a globe around the sun for each year of his life and we bring in pictures and talk about what he did each year.

Here he is on the special birthday stool. He told the class that he wanted them to show him the respect that they would want! Brian and I just about lost it. His highness:

That night we went to Red Robin for dinner, then came home for presents:

The next day was Jack's birthday. Brian and I met him for lunch and he also got to have a birthday cake celebration at his school. That evening we went out for ice cream then came home and opened presents.

The next day was their birthday party, and they had about 8 other kids attend, along with some parents. Here is the cake that Brian and I made, and I think it turned out darn cute. Brian, as usual, did the hard part.

Spring Pictures

I've been meaning to post these two for awhile. This is what the weather has been like...for the most part. Today it's snowing.
